Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time
This book is a great introduction to the Scrum framework. The methodology is quite simple, but it allows people to tackle complex adaptive problems while they deliver products with the highest possible value. It's used by almost every software company in the world and is considered the 'right' way to run any organization. This is not a book that dives into the 'how' but rather on the 'why'. If you're new to the Agile and would like to understand what all the hype is about, this is the book for you.
Sutherland is a pioneer in Scrum and gives his personal experiences as a fighter pilot, biometrics expert, innovator of ATM technology, and consultant. He explains why each of these areas were enhanced by the development of Scrum.
As a member of an incredibly agile team, this wasn't everything I was looking for. It did however give a well needed history of Scrum. This is an excellent starting point for people wanting to get a good foundation of how successful organizations operate in the digital age.
